Avon's Eve Truth Perfume Review

Image
I remember when this perfume came out I was a little curious about it so I did a blind buy and boy am I hooked on this scent! Avon's Eve Truth is one of the perfumes that I would absolutely gatekeep- but not to you lovelies!  If you are looking for a Floral Fruity perfume that is great for any special ocassion - This is it. With top notes of Cassis, Carambola, Black Currant and Pomegranate; Middle notes of Pink Freesia, Peony and Gardenia and base notes of Cedar, Musk and Amber brings in a symphony of timeless elegance to any look and occasion.  Though this may be a bit pricey at 1,009PHP, I can bet that this can go on sale on the next month at Avon as they bring out new scents every quarter.  I did use this during my friend's wedding back in October and it totally fitted the whole look I had. It has that airy sophisticated look which also dries down to a very clean scent afterwards. I got a lot of compliments on this when I wear it because according to some, the scent fits me

Dream Scents By Urbanhue's First Date Review

Image
Third day in the row baby! I know, right? I have got it on girl so watch out! Today's product to review is Dream Scents by Urbanhue First Date! This is actually the very first one I bought from them!  First Date is a Chypre Floral Fragrance that gives a very fresh and clean perfume which is perfect for first impressions.  One of the things I do notice about a person is their scent and definitely if you use amazing perfume - I like you already!  I do like this scent though on the initial spray it would have a strong antiseptic wiff to it but the longer it is to the skin develops into a light floral that smells very clean and lady like. Projection is good though the lasting power is a bit weaker than warm nights.  Compared to Warm Nights, this one you may over spray though when I over spray on this on a warm day makes the scent evolve to like an alcohol scent which is no bueno.  Overall I love this scent though I would not recommend this to anyone. If you are younger than 25 you ma

Dream Scents By Urbanhue Warm Nights Review

Another review time! I know 2nd day in a row who is that girl? I tell you that I am really into writing back because I love it and I want to go back.  Another one of my faves at the moment is amber and vanilla scents - I don't know why but the scent just evokes something in me when I wear an amber or vanilla scent and this particular one has been a constant since October last year. I actually just finished this bottle.  Priced at 239 pesos for a 50ML bottle this does go a long way. According to the official Urbanhue page Warm Nights is  A chypre fruity floral fragrance, that is very seductive and sexy. It also has a hint of sweet vanilla and musky. The scent just evokes sexiness but it doesn't borderline into messy territory. Though a little caution on spraying this as too much can induce headaches especially in elevators. The projection is quite strong so one to two sprays in the neck or back of the ear will be good.  Out of all my Urbanhues scents (yes I have a few) this is

Body Fantasies Wedding Day Fantasy Review

Image
Ola! I know that I have promised to go back to reviews but again life happened. Nakakaloka! But now I am back with a new review as I love to review things. It makes me feel alive.  I actually got this on a time where I just felt I need a pick me up while mindlessly browsing in Watson's. Yes. Impulsive but definitely worth it.  With Body Fantasies, they don't really do a big frills packaging but they entice you with the name my ghad! Wedding Day Fantasies really does smell like a bride! Its a sweet and soft fragrance. I can definitely say that this has like a clean girl, fresh-out-of-the-shower soapy musk scent. Its very nice to use for day time but I would not recommend this for night time as this is too light.  It has floral notes that is not too much if you over spray but the only thing I am not a big fan of is no matter how I try, this doesn't stay on for long period of time!  Like the longest I have had this scent was about 5 hours and that is stretching it. Like you wo

Coalition Launches Manual and Training Program on NGO War Against Malnutrition

Did you guys know that the first 1,000 days of a child is an integral part of their development? I was surprised when I attended the Children's First One Thousand Days Coalition (CFDC) launched last January 13, 2024, its operations manual and training program on how it will help in the government’s war against malnutrition.  Attending this event really opened my eyes in how important nutrition is for a child. Though I did grew up privileged enough that my parents were able to teach us why a balanced meal is important and also knowing the alternatives to food options to give us freedom to switch it up anytime we want. Such is not really the case for most families then and even now - Which means that more than ever we need to be at arms to help each other to make sure the future of our nation would be able to have the proper tools for success.  There is a law, RA 11148 entitled “Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Magnanay Act”, that seeks to address malnutrition during children’s first one th

Here We Go Again!

As a new year starts we start to have the usual *New Year's Resolutions* spiel all over again and I will be honest - I don't want to do that this year.  Call me a pessimist but I just find it bothersome to create a list of things I want to do but yet by the second week of the year I would just forget no matter how many reminders I put it on my google calendar.  So this year I won't do that. I won't make a New Year's Resolution - I'll just start doing what I want without setting myself for failure by putting myself into unrealistic standards.  Starting with this blog.  I know I promised that I will start blogging again but here we are mid January with my first post - ugh girl why? LIFE HAPPENED that's why.  I do promise to make sure to update my blog every single time I have the time to do so because right now with my whole schedule packed like a last minute road trip overnight bag the only luxury I have is sleep which I only get roughly 5 hours at best.  B

KOICA partners with World Vision to address teenage pregnancy

Image
Teenage pregnancy has been a longstanding concern that many countries face to this day. I remember when I was younger, my parents highlighted especially for me being the only daughter the complications of getting pregnant at a very young age. The taboos, consequences and also what I will miss if I do things a young person should never do. I was blessed to be able to take part in a little get together along with other members of the media to know more about the study that was created with World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. In ASEAN member states, the Philippines has one of the highest adolescent birth rates where according to 2019 World Bank data, the country has 55 births annually per 1,000 women aged 15-24 have already begun childbearing, according to a 2021 Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality Study.
