KPOP FRIDAYS: Wonderfools

Yoooooo I am back with Kpop Fridays!

Its been a while since I created an entry for this so I am not sure if I am still equipped with the necessary jargons but oh well.

I started watching Wonderfools on netflix a couple of days back because I've seen tons of clips of it on Tiktok and girl was I hooked.

I spent money on my credit card to just watch this show so I made the most out of it and boooooooyyyyy this show is soo hilarious!

So a bit of background, The series focuses on the adventures of "Flawed Superhumans" because they are unable to control their abilities but somehow they end up using it to their advantage.

The cast are Park Eun-bin (Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Castaway Diva), Cha Eun-woo (Gangnam Beauty and True Beauty), Kim Hae-sook ( Strong Girl Nam-soon and My Royal Nemesis) Choi Dae-hoon ( Crash Landing On you and When Life Gives you Tangerines), Im Seong-jae ( Gangnam B-side and Vincenzo), and Son Hyun-joo (Itaewon Class and The Good Detective)

The whole show is set in the early 2000s which gives a whole bit of nostalgia because lets be honest 2000 was like 26 years ago and damn that was a long time ago! It has that nostalgia feel without being too old if you get me.

Honestly the show is a mix of action and comedy with a pinch of romance. There isn't really a lot of dead scenes especially with the whole wonderfools team in their antics. One of the most hilarious scenes is when Eun-bin's character would have the tight shot but you can see in the background some antics happening to the other guys.

This is definitely worth the watch if you just want to forget the problems of the world for an hour- or possibly a day since you can do a whole binge session with this series.

I do feel bad though for the other superhuman characters that became antagonist in this series because you can definitely see that they are misunderstood just like the main leads but sadly they were not given a chance to have that character development to be more human unless they died which sucks if you ask me.

So yeah that's basically it. I am going back to watching a lot of Korean Dramas so I might go to writing it again.

Did I enjoy this series? DEFINITELY! I have been rewatching it a lot of times the past week because my brain can't handle everything that's been happening.

Have you watched this series too? Who's your favorite character in the series?

Let me know on the comments section!

Much Love

xx Alice
