KPOP FRIDAYS: Wonderfools

Image
Yoooooo I am back with Kpop Fridays!  Its been a while since I created an entry for this so I am not sure if I am still equipped with the necessary jargons but oh well.  I started watching Wonderfools on netflix a couple of days back because I've seen tons of clips of it on Tiktok and girl was I hooked.  I spent money on my credit card to just watch this show so I made the most out of it and boooooooyyyyy this show is soo hilarious!  So a bit of background, The series focuses on the adventures of "Flawed Superhumans" because they are unable to control their abilities but somehow they end up using it to their advantage.  The cast are Park Eun-bin (Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Castaway Diva), Cha Eun-woo (Gangnam Beauty and True Beauty), Kim Hae-sook ( Strong Girl Nam-soon and My Royal Nemesis) Choi Dae-hoon ( Crash Landing On you and When Life Gives you Tangerines), Im Seong-jae ( Gangnam B-side and Vincenzo), and Son Hyun-joo (Itaewon Class and The Good Detect...

Product Review: Charen Korea Face Mask

Image
Hello lovelies! I am back with a review for today. I have an ongoing fascination with face masks - Korean face mask in particular since most of their masks are easy to use. It come is a sheet mask in which you don't have to wash it off and its quite convenient to use if you are going on a trip, just slap this on then snooze away. The down side though is it can be messy to apply depending on the product and some are sticky but beauty has some downside too so its okay. Today I will be reviewing this mask that I bought from a Korean store a couple of weeks store. Its only 3 packs for 50 pesos. These are Charen Korea face masks. I only got the Aloe Essence, Royal Jelly, and the Mineral Essence. I will be reviewing them individually and tell you which one is great for what skin type. All of them are safe for all skin types, according to the instructions at the back of the packaging, but if you ask me its better to know which one works for you the most.

Movie Night: Sunny

Image
Last Sunday, I was a bit on a rough patch since it was raining and my buddy backed on our Sundate. It was a friendly date and I understand when my buddy is coming from so I have to give in. To my last resort, I went online and searched for some Korean movies I could watch.  I've actually watched this movie several times so it was basically re-watching a great movie. Tonight's movie night is about Sunny.

Kpop Friday: Kpop Fans Can Relate

Image
Hey lovelies!  I know that I haven't done a Kpop Friday in a while and I miss doing this! Seriously I have been out of the loop for a while but I hope you are still there! ^__^ As a Kpop Fan there are a LOT of things that we go through everyday which also involves Kpop. I know that there are actually more crazier than me when it comes to Kpop. What I mean by crazy is how they are deeply immersed to it. I remember when I first started liking Kpop - hence without my own computer and oblivious of the internet, I was just on my own in my room on a weekend with my TV stuck only on one channel -  Arirang TV .  That was the only Korean channel we had on our cable that time (don't judge) . But seriously I learned heaps of information about Korea and of course Kpop!  I learned about Korean food, Fashion, Culture and KPOP!  I have been a Kpop fan for thirteen years.  YES!  Thirteen years. ..I am so old if you ask me. I ...

Kpop Friday: Christmas and New Year in Korea

Image
Hello lovelies! I am so sorry that this is a late post for Kpop Friday! ChaChi my computer has been going crazy on me again in which the only thing to fix it is to buy a new capacitor for it soon so I can be back to blogging at home.  How was your holidays so far? Have you ate a lot from the parties? My goodness I think I have packed some pounds because of the holidays. but this is not going to be a diet diary but a Kpop Friday post! haha! I have been working as an Online English Teacher for two years now and whenever the Christmas time comes the most asked question we have is: How are you going to spend your Christmas? - quite cliche but its true.  Koreans - unlike any other east asian countries do celebrate Christmas as a national holiday since 30% of its population is practicing Christianity. Although Buddhist is the main religion, there are some people that practice western Christmas traditions.  There is not much difference between our way...

Kpop Friday: Aegyo!

Image
Hello ladies! It's Friday again and here is the Kpop Friday post for today! :)  I like to aegyo, do you like to do it too? Aegyo simply means whimsical but according to an explanation to me aegyo simply depicts cuteness and innocence of a person, much like what we do when we were kids. Most Kpop idols that does these are girls but there are also guys. Aegyo is basically something to exude cuteness and gain some attention. Not saying that people that do aegyo want constant attention, but from personal experience, aegyo brings out a smile to a person if you do it to them.  The simplest thing to do aegyo is to be shy. Most girls cover their faces when they are shy..am I right? That is aegyo ^0^ Here are other simply irresistible aegyo moves :D The nyan nyan The side tongue Baby pout Really? pose :D  As I said earlier, guys can also do aegyo...but not as good as girls! But in general, not all Koreans do aegyo. It may seem ...

Product Review: Missha Creamy Latte Green Tea Cleansing Foam

Image
Hello ladies!  For today's review I will be reviewing my current cleanser which is from Missha. I think this is the very first Korean cosmetic product that I got so I'm quite nervous and excited since I don't know what will this product do to my skin. This was given to me by our Korean manager when they visited our office a couple of months ago. I was supposed to get the chocolate cleanser but I changed it with my office mate since this the chocolate cleanser is for dry skin.

Kpop Fridays: Korean Make up Routine

Image
Have you ever wondered how Korean girls' skin   look so good that you would think they don't have make up on? That's where you are wrong sister! They do have make up on! :)) Its all in proper skin care and also make up application!  I got these information partly from Google and also my Korean students. I also learned that it takes them approximately 20 minutes to apply make up. My first reaction was "Huwaaat!?!" but its really true. According to one of my students, one thing to achieve that "no make up look" for them is to simply take your time in applying your make up and also have a good base. Here is the usual method that they do in applying make up   Preparation: Primer + make-up base -- This is to correct your skin tone  + Foundation (or BB cream) + Conceal imperfection -- concealer (but if you have applied BB Cream I think you can skip this step) + Setting: Set and fix foundation with powder or pact -- By the way pact is a shorter term fo...
