Anatomiya ng Korupsyon: A Satire about today's times.

I haven't done a movie review since... I can't remember but I'll be sharing to you guys this film I watched a couple of days ago.  Anatomiya ng Korupsyon (Anatomy of Corruption) is a 2011 film directed by Dennis Marasigan. It stars Sid Lucero, Ricky Davao and also Maricar Reyes. The film basically talks about the anatomy of corruption. Corruption is such a broad subject because it can be about corruption in terms of office politics and even the government.  Set during the 70's possibly during the Marcos era due to the fact there was a Marcos picture that was posted on the wall in the first sequence of the film. It is situated in a Family court setting.  We see Cely (Played by Maricar Reyes) who is an idealistic young lawyer that is a new hire to replace the previous one.  Armed with confidence, enthusiasm to help and a lots of morality unfortunately that was put to waste because of the corruption that riddled to their office. Cely refuses the fact that...

Movie Night: Sunny

Image
Last Sunday, I was a bit on a rough patch since it was raining and my buddy backed on our Sundate. It was a friendly date and I understand when my buddy is coming from so I have to give in. To my last resort, I went online and searched for some Korean movies I could watch.  I've actually watched this movie several times so it was basically re-watching a great movie. Tonight's movie night is about Sunny.

Hey ladies! I am back again with another Movie night post! Last Saturday, I was able to watch a movie with my friends and we watched This Guy's in Love with U Mare!

Movie Night: 3 Idiots

Pursue excellence, and success will follow, pants down. If you have heard this line, you may have watched this film. A week ago I was treated to a movie by my God brother since he knows I love movies and I love foreign films. Not that I have problem with movies here, its just foreign films gives a breath of fresh air to me.

Movie Night: Zombies and Cigarettes

Every night before I go to bed, I update my Facebook page and also my SNS if there are unanswered inquiries from my clients. I also watch some videos from youtube just to kill time.  Last night, as I was browsing to the myriads of movie trailers on youtube, I was able to stumble upon this short movie was more funny than scary: Zombie and Cigarettes.

Movie Night: Beastly

Hello ladies! Last Sunday while TV surfing I was able to see this movie. I think this was just released last year or so and I was surprised with this film because it reminded me so much of Beauty and the Beast. The only thing is the setting of the film was in New York. According to what I remembered, Kyle Kingson who is an arrogant and vain son of a wealthy news anchor thinks too much of himself and also he bullies other. One day he was 'cursed' into a bald, tattooed scarred shell the only thing that can break it if he finds someone that would love him more what the eyes can see.

Movie Night: You Dance with the Summer and No String Attached

Ola!!!!  Japanese and American movies are something that I enjoy watching on cable - especially when you are bored to your wits after reading tons of reports and you are under so much stress.  I just saw this two flicks a couple of nights ago and I was really inspired with their plot.

Movie Night: Country Strong + Akunin

A couple of weeks ago I was able to watch these movies because I was pretty bored with my Sunday night.  One of the things that I do to lessen the boredom is write or watch somethings. I was clearly not in the mood to write that Sunday night since tomorrow I will have to go to work and resume with my day job. Not that I'm complaining :D  I was able to see two films that really gave me a glimpse of the life of a star and also a villain. These films are not your typical movies so expect to do a little research after watching these films :)

Movie Night: Virginity Hit and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Whenever I can't sleep I would usually go watch some movies on HBO or online. It’s a little frustrating when there is no good show on TV...Like seriously? There.is.no.good.program. I was able to watch 2 good films on HBO a couple of nights ago. One was Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Virginity Hit. I would actually say that these films are great to watch if you don't really like cookie-cutter films. You know the type that boy meets girls, they fall in love, they fight, then make up and then the end scenario.  Real life isn't like that if you think about it.

Chuseok Weekend + Crazy Little Thing Called Love + Mario Maurer and Pimchanok Luewisedpaiboon

Hello everyone!  I am back and I'm back with a revenge! Joking :P How has your week been so far? For me its a little bit great since I had a very very long weekend because of Chuseok!  If you don't know Chuseok, its a Korean holiday that is commonly celebrates the end of the fall/autumn harvest season. Its like a harvest moon festival. And since I work for a Korean company, I don't have work last Monday and Tuesday! yey! But the sad news is that I am not paid on those days :'( but any who I was able to enjoy it and also got my energy back for work! ^_^ And since I was on vacation for like 4 days, I got to enjoy a movie marathon with a little thank you from Youtube and also my DVD collection.   For some reason I have been hooked by films that are from Thailand. The first movie I got hooked was sick nurses. This film is a horror film which was a score since I'm the only one brave enough to watch it haha!  The second Thai film that I watched was actually a romant...

Movie Night: Twilight and My Sister's Keeper

Image
For some reason on Sundays I would sit in front of the television and just watch anything available. Even if the movie is seriously ridiculous in its plot or its something great.  And this Sunday was no ordinary one since I was able to watch 4 great films. I first watched Twilight in ABS-CBN then My Sister's Keeper in HBO. Both movies are great for their respective genre. The other 2 films are italian films sorry wasn't able to know their titles. :)  Both movies were based from novels, which I would like to recommend to read the book first before watching these films.  Let's begin with Twilight since its been my favorite when it was first released. Basically it is about the love of a vampire and a human. As I watched the movie again I realized that some parts of the film was dull but nonetheless the movie is still worth watching.  Just think of this - your perfect guy is a vampire. He would basically go through heaven and earth to protect you since you are hi...
