Body Fantasies Wedding Day Fantasy Review

Image
Ola! I know that I have promised to go back to reviews but again life happened. Nakakaloka! But now I am back with a new review as I love to review things. It makes me feel alive.  I actually got this on a time where I just felt I need a pick me up while mindlessly browsing in Watson's. Yes. Impulsive but definitely worth it.  With Body Fantasies, they don't really do a big frills packaging but they entice you with the name my ghad! Wedding Day Fantasies really does smell like a bride! Its a sweet and soft fragrance. I can definitely say that this has like a clean girl, fresh-out-of-the-shower soapy musk scent. Its very nice to use for day time but I would not recommend this for night time as this is too light.  It has floral notes that is not too much if you over spray but the only thing I am not a big fan of is no matter how I try, this doesn't stay on for long period of time!  Like the longest I have had this scent was about 5 hours and that is stretching it. Like...

Coalition Launches Manual and Training Program on NGO War Against Malnutrition

Image
Did you guys know that the first 1,000 days of a child is an integral part of their development? I was surprised when I attended the Children's First One Thousand Days Coalition (CFDC) launched last January 13, 2024, its operations manual and training program on how it will help in the government’s war against malnutrition.  Attending this event really opened my eyes in how important nutrition is for a child. Though I did grew up privileged enough that my parents were able to teach us why a balanced meal is important and also knowing the alternatives to food options to give us freedom to switch it up anytime we want. Such is not really the case for most families then and even now - Which means that more than ever we need to be at arms to help each other to make sure the future of our nation would be able to have the proper tools for success.  There is a law, RA 11148 entitled “Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Magnanay Act”, that seeks to address malnutrition during children’s first o...

Here We Go Again!

Image
As a new year starts we start to have the usual *New Year's Resolutions* spiel all over again and I will be honest - I don't want to do that this year.  Call me a pessimist but I just find it bothersome to create a list of things I want to do but yet by the second week of the year I would just forget no matter how many reminders I put it on my google calendar.  So this year I won't do that. I won't make a New Year's Resolution - I'll just start doing what I want without setting myself for failure by putting myself into unrealistic standards.  Starting with this blog.  I know I promised that I will start blogging again but here we are mid January with my first post - ugh girl why? LIFE HAPPENED that's why.  I do promise to make sure to update my blog every single time I have the time to do so because right now with my whole schedule packed like a last minute road trip overnight bag the only luxury I have is sleep which I only get roughly 5 hours at best....

KOICA partners with World Vision to address teenage pregnancy

Image
Teenage pregnancy has been a longstanding concern that many countries face to this day. I remember when I was younger, my parents highlighted especially for me being the only daughter the complications of getting pregnant at a very young age. The taboos, consequences and also what I will miss if I do things a young person should never do. I was blessed to be able to take part in a little get together along with other members of the media to know more about the study that was created with World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. In ASEAN member states, the Philippines has one of the highest adolescent birth rates where according to 2019 World Bank data, the country has 55 births annually per 1,000 women aged 15-24 have already begun childbearing, according to a 2021 Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality Study. Being p...

Quezon City Launches Care to Right Card- a landmark initiative to acknowledge rights for LGBTQIA+ Couples.

Image
Queer life partners in the city will soon be able to legally decide for each other with regards to healthcare matters. I remember one of my closest friend and his partner were in an accident - his partner had to get a procedure done but since he is does not have the power to be able to help him make decisions, we had to call his parents that were in California at that time. It was so hard but thankfully we were able to do it. Thankfully the Quezon City Government has launched the Right to Care Card that will empower resident queer couples to make medical decisions for their partners.  The Right to Care card will be made operational through a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) and will recognize the decision of the card holders to agree, refuse, or withdraw consent of any type of medical care for their partners including treatment, procedures, tests, and prescriptions.  As a vocal ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and equality champion, Mayor Joy Belmonte expresses the importance of ...

Holiday Madness

I have re-started writing again - in the middle of the holidays! I cannot tell you all the things that I have in store for y'all!  First and foremost I would like to personally thank everyone who has been very supportive of my passions since day 1. I will not mention your names here but from the bottom of my heart I am truly thankful for all the support.  What you can expect this 2023 is I'll be more active writing. I promised myself that even if my make shift work chair is giving me the worst pain to my hips I will write one article a day for 2023.  I have yet to digress, but don't we all hate the madness of the holidays? I am the kind of person that I do love being able to give joy in the form of gift but Oh my Lord have mercy on me I cannot stand the lines when I am at the department store just to buy a couple of shirts and a gift for my secret santa.  I thought I was having an anxiety attack just going through a crowd of people at the mall!  The long l...
