Image
If you girls have been following me on my Instagram account (Which I hope you are) You would have probably seen me flooding your feed with posts from Jollibee's #PinoyAndProud celebration countdown last June 11.  And to be honest I am still not over it. So here is a low down on the happenings on that night that I wasn't able to tell you girls. As being the nation's number one fastfood chain, Jollibee threw the biggest and star-studded Independence Day celebration last June 11 at the Metrotent in Pasig City. This event brought together world-class Pinoy talents for a grand salubong  of the 118th anniversary of our national independence. With the hashtag #PinoyAndProud, Jollibee's Independence Day Celebration and countdown showed incredible performances from the most in demand OPM artists such as KZ Tandingan, Lyka Gairanod, Darlene Vibares, JK Labajo, Spongecola, Itchyworms, Darren Espanto and of course Sarah Geronimo. Jollibee's celebrity endorsers J

Photoescape Reviews: iWhite Korea 2 minute miracle whitening mask

Image
Hey lovelies! I am back with a new review! And again this is A continuation of my review from my YouTube channel.  There are days that my skin looks dull and it is not a good look and usually at would mean I need some exfoliating or a mask done and I found something really  interesting which is iWhite Korea's 2 minute miracle whitening mask.     This is 24.50pesos at Watsons and its main claim is the mask can give the skin lighter and brighter skin in 2 minutes. It can also diminish blemish marks such as acne marks with its ingredients and control excessive oiliness while still keeping the skin moisturized.  Some of its active ingredients are  - Limonia Acidissima -Lonicera Caprifolium extract  - Bambusa vulgaris leaf extract  - aloe vera leaf extract These are the ingredients that will help the skin achieve that lighter and brighter skin within 2 minutes. I actually find pronouncing the first three ingredients bothersome and i would really like it

StyleCon Asia 2016 Manila Stop Over

Image
Hey lovelies! I am still on cloud nine regarding StyleCon Asia!  If you were not part of the festivities I'll give you a low down on what happened okay?  First off was style chats in which it was a panel discussion with some of influencers which includes Lindy a.k.a BubzBeauty! There was also a talk regarding the love hate relationship we have in social media. Don't deny it. There are days you love Social Media but there are days we just want to shut down our devices and forget it exists. One of the questions I asked was what was the best and worst comment they got on their channels and I really feel with what Teena A.K.A. Angkikayko said that there were a lot of people who commented bad in regards of her weight but she just shrugged them. I was also able to see my friend Tine of RealAsianBeauty and felt so proud of her accomplishment because I know she had been through so much bad talking because of her acne problem, but now she looks so great with her

HyC 150 now opens online store and launches Ask a Doctor

Image
Being a beauty and lifestyle blogger (naks!) puts me in a position that most people will say that t I know a lot of things or I might be an expert at it. I do feel really blessed when I get emails asking about beauty related stuff like anti aging and skin care questions, and also where they can buy a certain product I mentioned on my posts but sometimes I feel that it would be best to consult a professional regarding skin concerns so I was really happy to be able to see the launch of HyC 150 online store and also their Ask a Doctor page.

Bridesmaid Feels

Its Sunday..and I am doing a garage sale. Solely for the reason that I need funds to get a bridesmaid dress.  I never thought I will do this through selling my precious items to save up for a dress! And I am willing to work hard to save up money for that dress because its for one of my friend's wedding.  Being a bridesmaid is something most girls would take for granted, but being asked to be one means that you are special to them and they want you to be on their special day.  I remember the last time I was part of a wedding entourage. I remember I was a replacement bridesmaid back in High school. It was for a family friend's wedding. I remember it so well because the dress they gave me was too tight it made me regret saying yes to it on the last minute. The dress was a canary yellow one shoulder gown. The bust area was made for a girl with an A cup and I have a C cup so think of how my breathing was in that dress. I was glad it was not a strapless dress or my twi

Photoescape Review: Jordan's Beauty Secrets From the Dead Sea Tea Tree Oil Face Mask

Image
During the weeks that I was suffering from the Flu, I have let go of my skin care routine. It was like F*ck it world I am sick and I do not care what happens to my skin, All I want is my blanket and warm tea so let me be! I know it sounds really bad but come on, Sometimes we forget to take care of our skin. And currently I am feeling much better that the first thing I did was give myself a facial in the comfort of my home because I will be binge watching some Korean Drama, so a good facial mask is probably the way to go.  And the one I used first is from Beauty Secrets from the Dead Sea.

Whipped: Fun and Sweet Way to Hair Removal!

Image
I would always have this conversation with my girl friends regarding hair removal. Its never really a good experience for me so I try to ask for options beyond shaving. I've had friends advise me using epilators, shavers and even hot wax! And honestly I will try anything to see which is the best.  And one of the things I found out is actually Sugar Waxing here at Whipped Sugar Wax and Body Scrub Salon.

Meralco Consumers Enjoys lower power rates in May

Image
Earlier this month, Meralco announced that the rate for its residential customers in May would go down by 41-centavos per kWh, thereby bringing it down to Php 8.44 per kWh for a typical household consuming 200 kWh, this translates to a reduction of around php 82.00 in their electricity bill. I actually was really happy to see this because as one of the breadwinners in my family, our household really needs to budget a lot so this reduction is amazing for us! This month’s overall rate is lower by Php 1.54 per kWh compared to May 2015’s Php 9.98 per kWh. It is also the lowest since January 2010, or over a period of six years. The decrease was primarily due to the generation charge that has decreased by about .21 php for kWh from April.  · Transmission charge likewise registered a decrease of PhP0.10 per kWh due to the reduction in NGCP’s ancillary charges and slight decrease in Power Delivery Service (PDS) charge. One of the things that I learne

Meet the 2016 Yumbassadors!

Image
The country’s number one family fast food chain, Jollibee, has unveiled its newest batch of Yumbassadors—young Filipino achievers who have excelled and continuously trail blaze in their respective fields, serving as role models for today’s Generation Y. I would say that these roster of young individuals make me re-think my strategy in making a difference in the world because some of them are actually younger than me!  The world-class roster is composed of talented artists and reel-and-real life couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre; international model Kelsey Merritt; social entrepreneur Rachel de Villa; young inventor Angelo Casimiro; spoken word artist and performer Juan Miguel Severo; model and agricultural entrepreneur Jairus Ferrer; record-breaking runner Mea Gey Niñura; outstanding student and aspiring doctor Christopher Valentin; international race car driver Marlon Stockinger; and world-renowned all-girl group 4th Impact. Unfortunately James and Nadine were n
