For the first part, I was in Ozamiz City for the first quarter of the year which actually was one of the best things I have done that year. I was able to travel to this amazing place called Mindanao but mostly just got around Northern Mindanao. It was an amazing experience but I think my homesickness got into me and I went back to Manila. But before heading back to Manila, me and the TBDC Fam went to Cebu. It was a short stay but it was an amazing experience. I never thought I would be seeing that amazing city which made me realize that Cebu is pretty much like Manila in some aspects but has fewer highways than we have here. Don't judge me okay? As I g

Christmas Lighting Ceremony turns on the Holiday Cheer at Theater Mall and Promenade

Image
One of the things I look forward to every Christmas season is the Christmas lighting display of different establishments in the metro. Its a much awaited tradition for every shopper and at the Promenade and Theater Mall that officially kicks off Christmas in this part of Greenhills. Enlivened by the presence of stars and entertainment personalities, the tradition began in 2008, the 20th year of the Music Museum, when German "Kuya Germs" Moreno invited stars like Gloria Romero to join him in providing Christmas cheer and dazzle at the ceremony. Through the years, young stars like Barbie Forteza, Bea Binene, Jake Vargas, Hero Angeles and Ken Chan joined Kuya Germs in spreading Christmas Cheer to shoppers and mall goers at the Promenade. The celebrities assemble at the site of the Christmas Switch, put their hands together and press the switch. Immediately, the bright lights of Christmas start to shine all over the place. It's as if the stars of the entertainme

Asian Aesthetic Center: Freeze and Melt Fat Away Permanently

Image
Is it possible to freeze and melt fat away? This is one big question that we attempt to solve but first we must understand how body fat functions in our body. Body fat as defined in many books is categorized as adipose tissue which is a normal component of the human body. Its primary purpose is to store energy in the form of fat that is then needed for metabolic functions within the body. However, having excess body fat can be physiologically harmful and at the same time can negatively affect one’s appearance. Thus the idea of the possibility to melt fat away comes to mind when all else failed. Can body fat be destroyed? Unfortunately, fat cells are indestructible since our body has a constant number of fat cells that will remain in our lifetime. However, fat cells can be reduced or shrink in size through various methods like freeze and melt fat away. You see, when people lose weight their fat cells are also reduce in size but the body will signal th

Relaxation at Jasmine Therapeutic Spa.

Image
One of the luxuries a girl can have is a good massage. A massage can be very beneficial to your body since it eases out the tension in our muscles and also improve blood circulation. I actually have tried out a new place in Fairview so if you are near SM Fairview/Lagro area, I got you covered okay? Jasmine Therapeutic Spa is not just your ordinary spa because its therapists are certified pros at this. They do recommend you the best service for your needs. I was able to try their full body massage with hot stone and also their foot reflexology and express massage. But the one I liked the most is their full body massage with hot stones and also Ventosa because they use bamboo cups unlike the typical glass that is used for that procedure.  Those were the best massages I have gotten in my life! One thing also that Jasmine Therapeutic Spa offers is that they have their own custom services that can help your health to improve like an ear spa and nose spa.

Atienza Naturale: Wonders of Malunggay in a Capsule!

Image
I remember as a child hearing the word Malunggay as my cousin's nickname and also a vegetable we usually when there is Tinola for dinner. I never actually researched the health benefits of this vegetable and I was surprised that it contained Vitamin A, B-Vitamins and minerals such as calcium and iron.  I was able to know this when I attended an event of Atienza Naturale. They actually produce Malunggay capsules that is very beneficial to your health.  Besides from the things I mentioned earlier, Moringa Oleifera which is the scientific name of Malunggay also has high content of potent antioxidants which can also diminish wrinkles and fine lines due to aging, this can also prevent an onset effect of various chronic disorders such as arthritis, cancer, kidney and cardio vascular diseases.  Me and some bloggers that attended the event had the opportunity to meet one of the owners of Atienza Naturale, Ms. Chi  Atienza and also Dr. Rainier Mozo which shared to us so

Robinson's Supermarket Indoor Cycling Challenge

Image
One of the things I did prior to being a full time blogger is to bike. I am not the best to be honest, but the health benefits of cycling if you want to lose weight is tremendously effective. I used to do outdoor cycling so I decided why don't I try indoor cycling. It was really out of my comfort bubble but its worth a try right? I am really thankful to be part of Robinson Supermarket's Indoor Cycling Challenge for their North Luzon leg that was held in Robinson's in Pampanga. The event wasn't just the challenge itself but there were also other activities the attendees can enjoy like food tasting, playing kinect and wii games, a photobooth, and also free nutrition council by a certified nutritionist. The whole challenge consists of an exercise round in which you get used to the cycling for about 15 minutes and a competition round that is for 20 minutes. The cycling round was a little intense already for me because I didn't k

365 days of Happiness Challenge: Day 7 SPOTIFY!

If you have been a reader / follower you know already how much I love spotify. Ever since I discovered that app, it has been a match made in heaven!  Spotify makes my life so much great with all the music in the world I can listen to.  I know its quite weird to say it but without spotify in my day it is simply not the same.  I just love listening to songs that this app makes me so happy when I see its icon on my phone.  I will try to make a playlist favorites soon here and also on my youtube channel so just give me some time to compose the perfect playlist that will tell you more about me.  Seriously I have TONS of songs on my spotify library I need to sort them out.  So yeah. Spotify makes me happy. I know its so shallow but sometimes the things that we use and see often does make us happy too so don't judge me.  Much Love!  xx ALice

365 days of Happiness Challenge Day 6: Coffee

I KNOW THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A DAILY POST BUT DON'T SHOW HATE THAT I AM SLACKING IN MY ARTICLES BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN BUSY WORKIN' FOR A LOT OF PROJECTS LATELY SO CHILL YO SELF OKAY? Glad that is out of the way.  So currently I have noticed that there are some scents I am drawn into when I need to chill. One of them is the scent of coffee. If you have been a reader for the longest time you know that I am such a coffee lover that I just can't get enough of the scent of it. Being broke as of the moment, I can only drink instant coffee which sucks to be honest because its not the real thing. One thing I am grateful for is my friend Jaiden that just saved me from a runt the other day when he treated me for coffee because we need to discuss some topics for an upcoming video. And guess what - He asked me to have a meeting in a coffee shop! My goodness my nose was in heaven inside that coffee shop and he actually laughed because I was like a child inside a toy store b

365 days of Happiness Challenge Day 5: Midnight Breeze

I am a nocturnal person. I find solace in the midnight breeze as much as the sunshine makes me smile when I wake up early. Which is weird because there are days that I prefer the midnight breeze when I walk outside to inspire me. And another thing is I am terrified of the dark, but I find tranquility in how the breeze makes me feel safe. And I think the midnight breeze makes me happy. It makes me smile to feel the breeze and just...feel alive. I am currently stumped with a lot of backlogs of events I went to so you might see some event posts up after this. I also have reviews I have yet to post so please bear with me. Much Love! xx Alice

365 DAYS OF HAPPINESS CHALLENGE DAY 4: SUNSHINE

I have always said that sometimes we need to stop and just enjoy the sunshine - and its true! There was an article I read about the sun and making your endorphin go up. So once in a while I just like to enjoy the sun even if I am in the city. That actually makes me happy sometimes - sunshine! Its sounds so weird saying that but it is true. Whenever I am just chillin on my own, I prefer seeing rays of sunshine because it reminds me of rays of hope trying to reach you. When I was younger, me and my family lived in this house where we had huge windows and my mom had to put curtains to cover it sometimes. What I would usually do is just open it a little bit and just look at it. I was really young back then and my mother didn't showered me with toys to play but encouraged me to explore around the house and use the whole space as a play area. My parents were radical beings so don't be surprised if I raised my kids one day like that. My mom actually  caught me one time jus

365 days of Happiness Challenge Day 3: Movies

I never thought how much of a movie buff I am when recently I went through the collection of movies I have watched online. Being broke at the moment says a lot about it too because I don't really have that much money to have the luxury of watching a movie at the cinema house because I would rather spend my hard earned money on utilities than see a one hour plus long movie. Most of the movies I've watched are also interesting. Most of them are RomComs because obviously I am a girl and with the idealistic mind that one day I might meet my one true love in this circumstances, but also being half the realist/ bitter person that I am, there is only a 9.9999999% it won't happen. The others are a mix of comedy, horror, and surprisingly enough some action was mixed in. The action ones are mostly inspired by my Papa because he loved movies that involved a bit of Bond and some other guy I forgot the name. There was one common denominator with these movies though that I like

365 days of happiness Day 2: Writing

I remember when I was younger the very first thing I wanted to learn was to write. When I started to write, I loved every bit of it. Now that I am older, I just remembered that and it made me smile. Writing makes me happy. Maybe that is why I started blogging. I loved writing anything I think of, all the ideas and thoughts I have. It made me live to write things I love, things I cherish and those that I want to do. I remembered writing all the things I want to do before I reach 30 on a page of a notebook. I don't remember everything that is in there because it was a long time ago, but writing them down made me remember something - writing is my passion. I started blogging to take my mind off things in my life. Then it evolved in trying to make money out of it. I would admit that I went on a downward spiral of being hooked in monetizing my writing to earn money, it was basically easy money. But then I woke up crying because writing materials I don't like made me lose

365 Days of Happiness Challenge

Its been a while since I wrote a really personal post on this blog. The reason for that is nobody really reads my blog anymore and I have lost my interest in speaking my mind. Nobody will care anyway.   But then one day it hit me - I have become the thing I didn't want, an empty shell with no happiness. I've lost my sense of happiness and I want to get it back. and I am starting today. For the next 365 days I will find my happiness. The thing that makes my heart beat and makes me smile even if the whole world is dim in front of me. If you see this post, you may disregard it as just another 20 somethings search for the inevitable but what the hell. Each day I will be post something that made me happy. It may be a simple text, emoji or simply the sky. I want to see that Alice that doesn't give a single fuck what the world thinks about her - because she is the only boss bitch she needs to keep moving up. Join me in finding happiness. Who knows you might find y

Last April 24, 2017 at Club 690 in Quezon City was the invitational send-off press conference of Mr. Gay World Philippines John Raspado to Mr. Gay World 2017 which will take place with the attendance of pageant and showbiz media alike. Your girl wasn’t there but I would like to share my support for our bet for the coveted title. As all the bases are covered in the preparations of John Raspado before leaving for Madrid, Spain next week it’s a great news that he is in the lead in the popularity voting section of the competition. But still even if he is in the lead, it would be great to show our support by continuously voting for him.  As he is also gunning the award for best in Social Media. If you want to show your support you can click HERE to vote for him! I would like to wish John Raspado the best of luck in the competition in Madrid that will be this coming May 5-10 2017. Much Love!

Beauty Finds at a click of a button with Sephora PH!

Image
Since I am back in Manila, I want to share to you girl a quick haul I had with Sephora Philippines! Take note that I ordered these when I was still in Mindanao to check if they have really good service and I would say its far from what I expected. I purchased some Burt's Bees products since I have been curious to try out a lot of their items. I ordered these about 2 weeks ago, and the package arrived a week later - It was that fast! With my previous online purchases, they usually take about a week and a half, but with Sephora they would send the products you ordered the soonest they can! And I am very impressed with this. Okay now let's go to the products that I've purchased. I purchased a total of 6 items: 2 skincare products and 4 lip products. Burt's Bees is a brand that cares for their customers as they would like to use natural ingredients to be used to the skin. I actually have tried their lip balms before but I was surpr
