REDvolution 2015

Image
HIV AIDS is slowly developing in our country and what better way to spread awareness to our younger generation by bringing them the latest performers on stage.  That is what happened a couple of weeks back when I attended REDvolution.  REDvolution is an event to spread awareness about HIV and how we can stop it spreading.

Product Review: Kojie San Cleanser+Toner

Image
Hey lovely ladies!  I haven't done a product review in a long time and I am so stoked to write a new one! There will be lots more to be posted so don't forget to check back regularly ok?  Okay so for today's review will be all about Kojie San's Cleanser+Toner  This actually was given to me during an event months ago and I stumbled upon it while going through my pile of beauty products. Sometimes I am really thankful I have a closet full of them because I don't need to buy one teehee!  So I finally decided to try it out since what's there to lose right?  I got the 60mL one but I believe there is a bigger version as well.  According to the bottle Kojie San Cleanser + Toner is a light solution derived from blend of natural ingredients that cleanses and moisturizes skin. This 2-in-1 formula contains Ginseng Extract and Rose Hip Oil known for its skin firming ability that helps smoothen fine lines and wrinkles. it also helps revive ti

Cook Magazine Disco Fever 5th Holiday Bash

This is definitely one of the magazines I read a lot because of F.O.O.D. - Cook Magazine!  I have been a reader since they have started publishing, not just because of the food shots - which I can say are fantastic and mouth watering but also the recipes and restaurants they provide for the foodies out there.

I am a Girl Who Loves to Read BUT...

I had this conversation/argument with my friend the other night how girls who read are usually the last to be in a relationship.  By the way my friend is a guy so hate on him all you want.

Urban Generation Calamba Grand Opening

Image
Usually I like to shop for key items for my wardrobe like a good pair of shoes, a nice dressy blouse that fits for casual and business setting. The only problem is there are not a lot of stores that offer that on a tight budget. But thankfully I found it in Urban Generation! They actually offer really good quality clothes without burying your wallet to the ground - I am not kidding. I was able to visit a couple of their stores and I remembered seeing a couple of shirts that costs about 500 pesos on a high end clothing store that costs half its price at Urban Generation - Too bad that shirt was sold out immediately because they were really cute. And I am really thankful to be part of the selected few to be invited for the grand opening of their Calamba, Laguna branch. The event was graced by Hon. Timmy Chipeco, Urban Generation Owner Renato Uy and one of their brand ambassador's Bea Binene. There was a ribbon cutting as to officially open its sixth br

OOTD: Black and Comfort

Image
Did I ever tell you guys that I also know how to sew?  Yeah..that's one of the hobbies I have that I don't normally say to anyone because its a practical skill but not something we do everyday.  I actually just finished making a pair of shorts for myself and tried to use it beyond to comforts of home. The hemline stitches broke though which was unfortunate. But it looked great with my top from Urban Generation.  The top actually looked more like a dress which was really nice.  One thing I loved about my top is the print because its a palm leaf! Its a total rando but what gives haha!  If you want to check out more about Urban Generation and their clothes you can visit them on their stores at  Avenida, Manila Carriedo, Manila Malolos, Bulacan Calamba, Laguna Rosario, Cavite Silang, Cavite and their latest branch at Calamba, Laguna!  Much love!  xx Alice

OOTD: Hot (Pink) and Ripped (Pants)

Image
As the days are going, more parties are coming along. This week alone I have about 5 parties to attend to! Its crazy! But thankfully I have a full wardrobe of clothes so I don't have to wear the same top over and over again.    One of the tops I am currently loving is this hot pink top from Urban Generation. It is a little form fitting so it will give me a mental reminder not too eat too much haha! There is one detail about it that I love - Its so warm! I wore this top when I went to Cook Magazine's 5th year bash at House Manila with my Big Difference Communications Family.  I like wearing this top with my ripped jeans to give it a bit more attitude and a pair of black pumps. Honestly my feet were in pain after wearing these because I am not used to wearing heels.  The top actually comes in different colors but I chose hot pink to make a statement.  If you want to get one as well you can drop by any Urban Generation store in  Avenida, Manila C

Personal Post: The Day I Broke up with My Boyfriend

Just when you thought that everything is going well, that is when life splashes you with water to wake you up from the reality that not life is not a fairy tale. That happened the day I woke up that my then-boyfriend has a girlfriend and I'm the number 2. I was so dumb for believing all his lies - Maybe that is what love does to you. It makes you forget the reality that some men will try to find a way to get out of a situation that would make them sink into a pool of death from not one but two women. It happened about December 15 2009. It was weird because I was at work at that day. The thought of breaking if off has been in my head that past week. It was nerve wracking but then while I was taking a call it suddenly struck me - I need to break it off FAST. So I asked our command center put me on a short break and thankfully they did and I went to the bathroom and called him and just said "I want out - lets break up" It caught him off guard. He asked me why and I said I

OOTD:Casual and Business Friendly outfit

Image
Hey girls!  I don't normally post OOTDs on my blog because I am not comfortable with being the model. But there is always a first time for everything right?  This OOTD is actually part of the clothes I got from Urban Generation. Urban Generation is a clothing store that gives really good quality clothes minus the hefty price tag.  Most of their clothes are under 500 pesos and are comparable with the ones from the mall that costs more than 500 pesos! It was really a surprise as well that they have a selection of clothes that fit my size since if you girls do not know I don't exactly have a size zero body.  This top actually is my favorite because of the print. I love that its very casual looking but with some accessories and layering it can become a top fit for a business meeting!  If you want to get a hold of this and also more clothes this holiday season make sure to head out to Urban Generation! They have branches located at Avenida, Carriedo

Believe You can Fly with Flying Trapeze Philippines!

Image
Would you ever believe I have a phobia of heights? I don't think you would but I do! I would however try anything that requires me to be on air at least once just for fun - when literally my heart would be doing its own bypass just to keep my alive.  And then this came - The re-opening of the Flying Trapeze at BGC last week. They invited me to try it out since they changed their venue which is I would say near SM Aura now which is more accessible since there are a lot of transportation that pass by there.     Doing the trapeze is not just hanging on a bar and swinging on air. Its basically controlling your whole body in doing all those moves without letting go - Its totally safe so don't worry.  There was also a small business dedication before everyone got strapped in and swinging to make everything official. The program was really simple because they really wanted everybody to have a good time.    You can also take classes for this! I believe

Personal Post: The time I almost dated my friend's EX

Hey!  I just want to share this really embarrassing and maybe awkward thing that happened to me. This happened many many months ago and I am sure one of you girls have had this so here goes.  And also if you are gonna shame me for this - I don't care because my friend knew I didn't go through the date because even though they have broken up a long time ago I would never date my friend's ex  #justsayin Okay so lets get started.  Its been years since I last dated- This is for real because I am really focused on getting my resume rollin' with credits and also I was still moving on from my ex so let's just say that I am not emotionally ready yet, but I am on this dating app as per requested by my friend because what is the harm of it right?  So as I was scrolling this app I saw this really gorgeous, smart, and someone I really fancy guy and I messaged him. Let's hide him in the name of Mr. J for the duration of this write up. So me and Mr. J

Getting Sick Sucks

I'm currently on recovery mode.  I got sick despite what other people think that I wasn't sick. I just came home from my doctor's who prescribed me some medicine to at least alleviate the pain in my back and also cure me of this cough that I had since last week. The ridiculous part of it is my doctor told me to not get stressed too often because it might lead me to getting my asthma back - HA! this is the funniest one that she said to me. I tell you it was like telling a child to stay away from chocolates which obviously most kids won't be able to do. To be honest it sucks...like TOTALLY SUCKS!  I hate being sick because it makes me weak. It makes me want to just sleep and sleep and not get any work done. And for the first time in a year, I was able to abstain myself in facing either my phone, laptop or even the television today! I was that down it made me sick just seeing them.  Thankfully my friend Aiden helped me out by at least transferring some o

Gray Hair at 26

Image
That white strand you see at the back of my phablet is not a cat hair that strayed in my clothes, but an actual gray hair that I got from my hair one day while I was fixing my hair.  And it hit me - I'm getting old.  I never thought that I would get it at 26. I was thinking in the course of early 30s maybe but not now!  I may sound that I am over reacting on this, but  I don't want to get gray hair on a young age.  I've researched the possible causes of it and maybe one of the possible causes is stress although there is no scientific explanation on this. Another probable cause is a vitamin B-12 deficiency or problems with the pituitary gland or the thyroid gland which can be reversible according to Web MD.  I am not against people that have premature gray hair because its not a medical problem. I just don't understand why I am getting this at my age. WHY?!? I remember talking to my Best Boy Friend about this and he jokes that I am slowly tur

When you felt like dying

Walking almost 10 blocks just to get a ride home is something I don't like to do - but I have to unless I want to sleep on a park bench in a place I barely knew existed in the map. Yes. I almost had that thought in mind but remembered I had 100 pesos in my pocket so I can still manage na makauwi. Ang weird lang talaga ng utak ko.

The Beauty of the Dead Sea with Jordan's Premier Beauty Secrets

Image
I can honestly say that this week was by far the most stressful week I've had. I had to be literally on the road as early as 7:30AM since last Tuesday and would get home at around 12 midnight. I wasn't wearing any make up at all but it was really great because I discovered something that refreshed my skin not just for the day but I can say for the entire week! Last Friday I was invited with a few beauty bloggers to discover Beauty Secrets which is the only brand in the world that has the widest range of facial mud products that come from the Dead Sea.  They are already available in 65 countries from the Middle East to the United States of America and it will now be available this December here in the Philippines! How awesome right?  One of the highlights of the program is they did a demo of the mud mask on  some bloggers which I actually was included. They mentioned that Beauty Secrets Facial Mud has 21 minerals like Magnesium, Potassium

Giro De Pilipinas Experience

Image
Cycling is now becoming a good form of exercise with most Filipinos - especially those that are training for a triathlon or duathlon. And with this a huge surge of cycling events are now happening within the Philippines - with the first from Giro de Pilipinas. I am really honored to be part of the bloggers to witness this with the help of JAB Hauz of Zen's team medical and team holistic in bringing comfort to the participants by performing the spine alignment to them for free so they will feel relief from the long distances.   3Q Sports Event Management with its partnership with 97.9 Home Radio, Aliw Broadcasting Corporation and the Lighthouse Marina Resort Giro de Pilipinas' aim to make the Filipino a great contender for the international cycling circuit, they tested the Filipino cyclist's energy, endurance and stamina with its one of a kind courses. .
