A Teacher's Life according to me

Being a teacher is not just something that you get your income from, but more of a life-changing experience for you and your student. 

I am a teacher - an online English teacher that is. I have learned to keep my cool when I have a very tough student. 

I teach English to Koreans over the phone which doubles the stress because you won't be able to give them visuals other than the book that was given to them. 

I can say there are times I hate my job, there are times that I appreciate it. I hate it in the sense that it seems my students are not even absorbing what I am trying to teach them. I have students that have a lot of determination in learning the English language, and I really love them for that. I may not see them but I make them feel that I appreciate their effort to study English. 

I have one student that I really despised (despised talaga teh?) before because he would not even respond to me. I won't say his name in this blog. One day I told him that I believe he is good and he can learn more in our class, all he needs to do is to try. And you know what on our next lesson he read the story by himself. I nearly cried when he was reading it. I was so overwhelmed because he was has believed in himself that he can do it. It was not perfect intonation and pronunciation wise but I can feel that he was really trying. 
Students like this make me work more everyday. I may not be the perfect teacher at time, but I made sure that they learn on our and have fun too.

I am a teacher and a student too. I teach my students the English language while I learn how to be patient and also how to communicate with them in Korean and their culture.

Shocking isn't it? haha!  Let me introduce to you my dog named John. Believe it or not he had a brother named Lloyd... get it John and Lloyd. Blame my mom for their names LOL But besides from that he is one peculiar kind of dog. He has a mannerism to act adorable one minute but turn annoying after another.  He has been with us for like 5 years or longer. He is a mix of Labrador and Pitbull.  I took that photo a couple of days ago when I was in a trigger happy mode. I took pictures of my niece and my nephew, our newly renovated house and of course my pets. I was actually asking him to look at me and when he did he suddenly yawn. And that is how I had that shot.  He is actually a really nice dog, he is a bit territorial but most dogs are like that. He actually likes my Labrador Retriever named Georgia. Product Review: iColor Hair Dye Shampoo

Hello lovelies!  Since the start of the year I told myself I will change my looks more and test things since I am not getting any younger so experimenting would definitely be on top of my list.  With that I've actually started with my hair. I have already gone blonde although that was a little hard to maintain since I remember being told to go back after a number of weeks to have my roots done but never seem to do it because  1. The salon I got it done was quite far from my place.  2. Its still expensive 3. It would damage my hair tremendously I still have qualms about getting my hair colored again professionally so I asked my mom if its much better if I color it myself - she said yes but gave me the low down on the things I have to do...remembering all those information was a toughie but I was able to get a simpler solution with it - this hair dye shampoo~  My mom discovered this actually and asked me to try it on my hair since she knows I need to cove
