Make up 101: Must Have Brushes for Beginners

 Hello ladies!

On today's Make up 101 we'll be talking about make up brushes. I've already went through with why they are great make up tools in another post that you can check here, but for today's post I'll give you a run down of the top 10 brushes every beginner should have.

1. Foundation brush

Foundations brushes are designed to get you that smooth and flawless finish. With its tightly packed bristles that are tapered at the tip will give you a flawless finish. The only bad thing that most girls encounter is that it streaks on the skin so make sure to blend it well.

2. Concealer brush

Concealer brushes are another must since it will help you hide your troubled areas like your dark under eyes, major acne scars, and areas where you tend to get redness or discoloration. Most concealer brushes I've used look like a smaller version of the foundation brush with a pointed tip.

3. duo fiber brush

Duo fibre brushes are synthetic brushes made for blending and buffing our make up. This is perfect to use when applying cream products in your skin.

 4. Kabuki Brush

Similar to the Duo Fiber brush, the kabuki brush is something you can have in your arsenal when it comes to applying setting powder in one go. It is also a buffing brush since the brushes are more compact than the duo fiber brush.

5. All around brush.

All around brushes can be used in different ways thus the name pft! But any who this brush can be used as a blush brush or powder brush depending on the usage.

6. Blush and contour brush.

For a flush of color and also for defining the face this brush is a must, especially for me since I'm really pale. This actually comes in two designs one is angled while the other one is rounded. If you are very keen to using blushes this will be your BFF for sure.

7. Eye Shadow Shader Brush.

Now lets move on to the eyes, Mostly there are different eye brushes for each use but you at least have one shader brush. What a shader brush does is to pack up the color in your eyes. Usually shader brushes are flat and wide for faster application.

8. Blending Brush.
Of course after packing the color you should at least blend out the harsh lines and the brush for that is the blending brush. Blending brushes have a tapered top so that the color is easily blended.

9. Flat eyeliner brush.

For eyeliner brushes, usually they are flat and thin so you can choose from thin and natural to thick and edgy eyeliner.

10. lip brush

For lip brushes, this is usually used if you are applying your lipstick as lip liner. Yes I am serious. This is usually the smallest brush in the bunch and sadly to say this is one of the least used brush in my collection but if I do use it will definitely worth it.

That's it for today's blog post. Oh I forgot Sigma Brushes is having 10% off on their brushes if you used to code AP2012 so if you want to purchase great brushes don't miss out on this deal! :) Here's where you can go to buy the brushes http://www.sigmabeauty.com/?Click=176764
